How can we not have a Tesla on our list? The much awaited crossover with its 300 mile range would surely be the best EV drive in 2020. A skimmed version of the Model 3 it would do 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds. The vehicle is roomy and perfect for long drives. It is expected to be priced aggressively and would surely be the crossover you’d love to drive.
2020 Kia Soul EV
Kia has been making the right noises in the US market and its upcoming Soul EV would add to the excitement in the EV space. The 2020 model would have a 64 kWh lithium ion polymer battery pack, quite an improvement from its predecessor. The vehicle would be able to do 225 miles between two charges. The new engine would have 201 horsepower and improve its torque level to 291 pound-feet. The specs are exciting, aren’t they?
Rivian R1T Truck
Most of us can’t associate electric drives with trucks. After all trucks have always been gas guzzling drives on the road. Few models have hit the road and met with moderate success. But come 2020 you may be able to drive a truck offers you specs off the charts and lets you wear the hat of a green auto-enthusiast. Rivian Automotive, the auto start-up has been making headlines since the 2018 LA Auto Show and its R1T with 174-horsepower motors on each of the wheels and 400 miles range seems out of the world at the moment.
